   Kevin Kylus - Varsity Head Coach

Coach Kylus returns to his 10th year of coaching at Northeast.  He graduated from Bowie High School where he was a member of the undefeated PG County Championship Team. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Physical Education. While at UM, he was a student assistant coach working with the defensive backs. Coach Kylus will also serve as the Defensive Coordinator. Coach Kylus is currently a PE teacher at Northeast. He lives in Crofton with his wife Amy and their two children, Christopher and Kaitlyn.

 

 

  Steve Ward - Varsity Assistant Head Coach

Coach Ward returns for his 11th season at Northeast. He will be working closely with the varsity team this year, especially the offense, in addition to his usual Running Backs coaching duties. Before coaching at Northeast, Steve coached with the Buccaneers program for 12 years and also served Bucs President from 94-98. Steve remains involved with the Buccaneer program. He is an alumnus of Glen Burnie High School, where he played football and baseball. Coach Ward lives in Pasadena with his wife Mary. Steve works for the Department of Defense.

 

 

   Jeff Warren - Varsity Offensive Coordinator

Coach Warren returns to Northeast as the Offensive Coordinator. He played for Pallotti High School, 88-90 and during that period the Panthers were 24-6 including a 10-0 record and Washington Post Top 20 finish in 1989. Jeff served as a graduate assistant from 91-93. He then enlisted in the Marine Corps and served four years on active duty. In 98 he returned to Pallotti and served as the quarterbacks coach until 2001. During his coaching tenure at Pallotti, three quarterbacks made the PG All-County team. He came to Northeast in 2001. He lives in Pasadena with his two children, Peyton and Campbell.

 

 

   Kevin Franc - Varsity Offensive/Defensive Line Coach

Coach Franc is a Leonardtown High School graduate where he played football and baseball. After graduating, he attended Frostburg State University and played four years of baseball and graduated with a degree in History and a degree in Social Science. He is currently teaching Social Studies at Northeast and looks forward to helping both in the school and on the playing fields. Coach Franc lives in Pasadena with his wife Tiffany and daughter Raeanne.

 

 

    Danny Ball - Varsity Wide Receiver and Defensive Secondary Coach

Coach Ball previously coached in Northern Virginia for 4 years. He was a 3-year starter at defensive back for the Troy Trojans in high school and led the team in interceptions. He Played DB at highly ranked Wilmington College in 84 - 86, While in the Navy he played cornerback for the semi-pro Hampton Road Sharks. He recently retired from the Navy

and is currently studying for his Bachelor's degree in Sports Management. Danny and his wife, Devanice live in Annapolis with their four children, Shawnee, Tazie, Tehya and Daniel.

 

 

    Lewis Jefferies - Varsity Running Band and Defensive Line Coach

Coach Jefferies played at Martin Luther King High School where he earned a spot on the 93 Philadelphia All-City team. He received a scholarship to play at Shippensburg University

and received a dual BA degree in Public Relations and Communications. He served in the Army from 99-03 and earned a MBA from the University of Phoenix. Coach Jefferies has been coaching in the Anne Arundel Youth Football league for the past 6 years and makes his high school debut this year at Northeast. He lives in Pasadena with his wife Yolanda and four

children, Qhy'nesha, Imani, Hailey and Keonte.

 

 

   Larry Schmidt - JV Head Coach

Coach Schmidt returns for his 10th season with the JV team coaching the offensive and defensive lines. Coach Schmidt coached football and lacrosse with the Buccaneers Athletic Club from 1992 – 1999 where he also served seven years as the football director and two years as the lacrosse director. Coach Schmidt is a class of ‘74 Northeast graduate and a newly retired police officer with the Baltimore City Police Department. He now works at Northeast. Coach Schmidt is a Pasadena resident where he lives with his wife Donna. Between them they have six children.

 

 

   Mike Knipp - JV Wide out/Defensive Secondary Coach

Coach Knipp was born in Baltimore and started his football career with the Pasadena Chargers. He then moved to Pennsylvania were he played football at York County Area Vocational-Technical High School. After graduation, he attended McDaniel College where he also played football. He then played semi-pro ball for the Metro Longhorns and then three years for the Anne Arundel County Admirals. He began his coaching career for the Upper Adams Dragons and then moved on to the Maryland City Mustangs for a year. He has worked for the Anne Arundel County School system for the past six years. He  lives in Pasadena with his wife Kim and new son, Ethan.

 

 

     Chris Dyke - JV Wide out/Defensive Secondary Coach

Coach Dyke returns for his 2nd year of coaching at Northeast, but is no stranger to Northeast Football. He graduated from Northeast in 2003, and received All-County honors for football both his Junior and Senior years. He is also the assistant wrestling coach at Northeast, where he also received All-County honors and was a State placer for Northeast.   Coach Dyke served four years in the United States Marines Corps and is happy to be back living in Pasadena area with his sons Ayden and Michael. He works at the Under Armour Distribution Center.
 

 

     Ray Hesse - JV Offensive Coordinator /RB/LB Coach

Coach Hesse is entering his 2nd year on the Northeast staff. Before coaching football at Northeast, he coached with the Buccaneer's for 11 years. He graduated from Southern High School in Baltimore where he was a four year starter 83-87. Coach Hesse lives in Pasadena with his wife of 21 years, Pat, and sons Ray and Jake. Pat and Ray are also active members of the Northeast Athletic Boosters.
